Feature Codes

Feature codes are short codes — usually starting with * — that you dial to trigger a feature. They're the shortcuts of the phone world. Below are the common ones; your admin can change or disable any of them, so treat this as the typical defaults.

Not sure of a code?

Codes are configurable, so if one below doesn't do what you expect, check with your administrator — they can show you your system's exact codes.

Transfer & park in practice

  • Blind transfer — press Transfer, dial the extension, hang up. The call goes straight there.
  • Attended transfer — press Transfer, dial, wait to speak to your colleague, then complete the transfer.
  • Park — park a call in a numbered slot, then anyone can pick it up from another phone by dialling that slot. Handy for "there's a call for you on line 2."
